Give Your Team the Skills to Automate Their Own Workflows

Your consultants and operations staff handle dozens of repetitive tasks every week, from summarising documents to answering recurring internal questions. Microsoft 365 now includes simple, built-in tools that let non-technical users automate these tasks themselves: Copilot Notebooks and the Create Agent function.

This hands-on, three-hour virtual session equips your team to use both tools confidently. Every participant builds and tests their own Notebook and Agent during the class, so they leave with practical skills they can apply the same day.

Who Is This For?

This session is designed for Microsoft Partner teams who want to start automating internal processes without relying on developers or the full Copilot Studio platform. It is especially relevant for:

    • Operations and admin staff looking to reduce manual, repetitive work
    • Consultants who want to build personal productivity tools for themselves and their teams
    • Practice leads exploring how simple AI automation can free up billable capacity
    • Anyone in your organisation with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license who wants to get more from it

Prerequisites

No technical or development experience is needed.

Participants should have access to Microsoft 365 Copilot (a Copilot license is required to use Notebooks and the Create Agent function).

Knowledge of fundamental AI concepts such as prompting and basic Copilot in Microsoft 365 navigation is essential.

Familiarity with Microsoft 365 apps such as Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint is helpful.

What You Will Gain

By the end of this session, every participant will have:

    • A clear understanding of the difference between Copilot Notebooks and simple Copilot Agents, and when to use each
    • Practical experience crafting effective instructions for both Notebooks and Agents
    • A working Notebook they have built, tested, and can share with colleagues
    • A working Copilot Agent they have created, tested, published, and shared
    • Confidence to identify and automate their own internal processes using these tools
    • An understanding of where the Create Agent function sits relative to Copilot Studio, so they know when a task has outgrown the simpler tool

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get my team automating internal processes without needing developers or Copilot Studio expertise?

This course is designed specifically for non-technical business teams who want to start automating day-to-day tasks using Microsoft’s simplest AI tools – Copilot Notebooks and the built-in Create Agent function. In just three hours, your staff will learn the difference between Notebooks and Agents, when to use each, and how to craft effective instructions for both. Every learner builds and tests their own Notebook and Agent during the session, so they leave with practical, hands-on experience they can apply immediately.

What is the difference between a Copilot Notebook and a simple Copilot Agent, and when should my team use each?

A Copilot Notebook is an AI-powered workspace where your team can gather files, meeting notes, and links, then ask Copilot to analyse and generate insights from that collected content. A simple Copilot Agent, by contrast, is a standalone AI assistant you can publish and share across your organisation to handle specific recurring tasks. This course walks your team through both tools side by side, with clear guidance on which to reach for depending on the task – so they spend less time figuring out the tooling and more time getting results.

Can my consultants realistically learn to build their own Copilot Agents in a three-hour session?

Yes – that is exactly what this course delivers. The session focuses on the Create Agent function within Microsoft 365 Copilot, not the full Copilot Studio platform, which means the learning curve is significantly shorter. Each learner creates, tests, and publishes one working Agent during the class. With groups kept small at 7 to 12 attendees, there is plenty of hands-on support from the trainers to ensure everyone walks away confident and capable.

How is the Create Agent function different from Copilot Studio, and do I need both?

The Create Agent function is the lightweight, no-code option built directly into Microsoft 365 Copilot – ideal for simple automations like answering FAQs from internal documents or summarising recurring reports. Copilot Studio is Microsoft’s full-featured platform for building complex, enterprise-grade agents with custom workflows, connectors, and advanced logic. This course focuses on the simpler path first, giving your team the foundation to automate common internal processes quickly. If your needs grow, the skills transfer naturally into Copilot Studio later.

How does training my internal team on Notebooks and Agents help me build a more scalable partner business?

When your consultants and operations staff can automate their own internal processes – from project onboarding to knowledge management – you free up billable capacity without adding headcount. This course builds foundational AI skills that compound over time: teams start with simple automations and progressively take on more complex use cases. For a Microsoft Partner firm looking to reduce operational overhead and demonstrate AI capability to clients, equipping your people with these practical skills is one of the fastest paths to measurable productivity gains.

Our Customers

The content was really well structured, Sandra and Imogen were brilliant at explaining the tools and taking us through each tool step-by-step as we worked through our own tasks. If anything, I would love to spread the course out over a week to delve into each element – but that’s because I really enjoyed it! A fantastic course, high quality content and fun throughout!
