Audience Profile

This course is designed for persons aspiring to the Microsoft 365 Administrator role and have completed at least one of the Microsoft 365 role-based administrator certification paths.

Prerequisites

MS-900: Microsoft 365 Fundamentals or equivalent knowledge

Course Agenda

  • Configure your Microsoft 365 tenant: Configure your Microsoft 365 tenant, including your organizational profile, tenant subscription options, component services, user accounts and licenses, security groups, and administrative roles.

  • Configure Office client connectivity and manage user-driven client installations of Microsoft 365 Apps.

  • Identity synchronization: Plan for and implement Azure AD Connect and Connect Cloud Sync; manage synchronized identities; implement password management with multifactor authentication and self-service password reset.

  • Security management: Examine threat vectors and data breaches; use Microsoft Secure Score and Azure AD Identity Protection; manage Exchange Online Protection, Safe Attachments, and Safe Links; review security reports.

  • Threat intelligence: Use Microsoft Defender, Defender for Cloud Apps, and Defender for Endpoint.

  • Compliance management: Overview of data governance including archiving, retention, Purview message encryption, and DLP; insider risk management, information barriers, and sensitivity labels.
