Turn your team into confident agent bosses

Cowork in Microsoft 365 does not just answer questions, it does the work. This three-hour, virtual, instructor-led workshop shows your team how to delegate complex tasks to Cowork in Microsoft 365 the same way you would delegate to a capable assistant, so you reclaim hours every week without losing control of quality.

Who Is This For?

This workshop is designed for leaders and teams who already use Microsoft Copilot and want to take the next step. It is for people who have hit the ceiling of step-by-step prompting and want an AI that can run multi-step work end to end.

It is a particularly strong fit for:

    • Managing Directors and CEOs who want to free senior time from repetitive operational work.
    • Sales, marketing, delivery, and operations team members who want faster turnarounds on heavy multi-step tasks.
    • Consultants and practice managers who repeat similar tasks across many clients (proposals, discovery prep, account reviews).
    • Heads of transformation looking to build repeatable, AI-enabled practices across the firm.

What Your Team Will Gain

    • A clear mental model of how Cowork in Microsoft 365 differs from Microsoft Copilot Chat and from custom agents, and when to reach for each.
    • Confidence to delegate long, multi-step tasks (research, document creation, file management, system updates) in a single request.
    • The ability to build your own Cowork Skills, so repeated work always runs the same trusted way.
  •
    • A working set of scheduled tasks that run weekly, monthly, or annual jobs for you in the background.
  •
    • A practical quality workflow for reviewing, correcting, and editing AI output before it reaches a client or a system of record.
  •
    • Honest awareness of where Cowork is still in preview and how to work around its current limits.

Prerequisites

    • Microsoft 365 and Copilot in Microsoft 365 licenses for each learner.
    • Frontier Features and Anthropic must be enabled at the company level.
    • Comfortable using Microsoft Copilot Chat for everyday tasks (drafting, summarising, search).
    • Working knowledge of where your team stores documents (Microsoft OneDrive, Microsoft SharePoint) and which Microsoft 365 apps you rely on day to day.
    • Optional but useful: a Microsoft Dynamics 365 license if you want to practise on sales pipeline scenarios. A Microsoft Fabric or Microsoft Power BI license if you want to practise on reporting scenarios.

Agenda

Five focused modules across a single three-hour session:

  1. What Cowork is: How Cowork differs from Microsoft Copilot Chat and agents
  2. Multi-step tasks: Handing off complex, multi-step work
  3. Cowork Skills: Building Skills in Cowork
  4. Scheduled tasks: Daily, weekly, batch tasks
  5. Current Cowork limitations and workarounds
  6. Review, correct, edit: Quality workflow

Why This Matters Now

For the first time inside the Microsoft ecosystem, you have an AI that can behave like a real assistant. Cowork in Microsoft 365 can chain steps in the background while your team gets on with other work, then come back with a finished output. The shift changes what you can reasonably ask AI to take off your plate.

Learning to use Cowork is the easiest, fastest way to become a Frontier business. With the skills taught in this workshop, learners will become true agent bosses.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Cowork in Microsoft 365 and how is it different from Microsoft Copilot Chat?

Cowork in Microsoft 365 is the newest member of the Microsoft Copilot family. The key difference is that you delegate whole pieces of work to it rather than asking for one step at a time. Microsoft Copilot Chat is brilliant for in-the-moment back and forth, drafting, summarising, asking questions of your data. Cowork in Microsoft 365 takes a brief, runs the multi-step work in the background (research, document creation, saving files, sending emails), and brings back a finished output. Our workshop, Using Cowork in Microsoft 365, gives your team a clear mental model of when to reach for each.

How do I actually use Cowork in Microsoft 365 across my company?

There are three patterns of work where Cowork in Microsoft 365 can help. First, ad hoc multi-step tasks: one-off jobs that string several actions together, for example research a topic, write it up as a PDF, save it to a Microsoft SharePoint folder, and email the link to the team. Second, scheduled tasks: recurring work such as a weekly pipeline report or a Monday morning Microsoft Dynamics 365 update. Third, Cowork Skills: repeated tasks you trigger yourself, such as a proposal prep skill or a discovery call prep skill. Our workshop walks your team through each of these patterns with live examples.

Can Cowork in Microsoft 365 run tasks for me on a schedule?

Yes. Scheduled tasks are one of the three core patterns. You can ask Cowork in Microsoft 365 to run a job every day, week, month, or year. A common example we cover in the workshop is a Friday evening sales pipeline report that scans your inbox, your Microsoft Teams meetings, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 opportunities, then produces a Microsoft Word or PDF report and emails it to you. The workshop shows your team how to design, test, and govern these scheduled tasks safely.

What is a Cowork Skill and what could my team build with one?

A Cowork Skill is a saved set of instructions that Cowork in Microsoft 365 follows every time you trigger it. Think of it as a trained junior assistant who never forgets the steps. Practical examples include: a discovery call prep skill that pulls account history, web research, and persona insights into a single brief; a proposal prep skill that reads a client meeting transcript and builds a draft proposal in your template; a data operations skill that handles saving and tidying files across Microsoft OneDrive and Microsoft SharePoint. The workshop covers how to build, test, and refine your own skills, with a 50-skill ceiling per user to plan around.

Is Cowork in Microsoft 365 safe enough to delegate real client work to?

Cowork in Microsoft 365 is still in preview, so honesty matters. It can hallucinate, its memory is not yet reliable, and it sometimes thinks it cannot do things it can. The workshop covers all of this directly. You learn a quality workflow for reviewing, correcting, and editing every output before it reaches a client or a system of record, plus practical workarounds for the current limits. Used with that discipline, your team gets the productivity gain without the reputational risk.

Our Customers

The content was really well structured, Sandra and Imogen were brilliant at explaining the tools and taking us through each tool step-by-step as we worked through our own tasks. If anything, I would love to spread the course out over a week to delve into each element – but that’s because I really enjoyed it! A fantastic course, high quality content and fun throughout!
