Microsoft Dynamics Events 2016
This year’s event schedule looks a little different: Microsoft has changed some of the event profiles, names, and dates. Here is a quick update on the major Dynamics events Microsoft is running in 2016. They are staged mostly in North America, and are a great chance to get the very latest information and training, as well as meet and mingle with Microsoft employees, leaders, partners, customers and other consultants. They are also great fun – and if you can’t make it, you can always join in via the internet.
Build (March 30 – April 1, San Francisco, USA)
Build is the Microsoft Developer’s Conference, enabling developers to do the amazing work needed as businesses and industries transform in support of Microsoft’s shift to a cloud-first, mobile-first world. This year’s Build covers the latest tools and technologies and how they can help you be most creative and productive
It’s just about to happen – and is sold out for visitors, but don’t despair. You can add your name to the Build mailing list for updates on live and on-demand content, and add a reminder to your calendar to make sure you don’t miss the live stream.
Convergence has evolved into Envision (April 4-6, New Orleans, USA)
In January, Microsoft CMO Chris Capossela announced a new event – Microsoft Envision to enable business leaders to understand the trends, emerging technologies, and insights that can help them shape the future of their business. It is aimed at CxOs and senior department and functional leaders, to let them hear from prominent industry visionaries and business experts who will share the latest ideas, trends and innovations in business and technology.
This focus on leadership is a natural evolution from the Microsoft Convergence event – so Microsoft Envision has replaced Microsoft Convergence as the premier event for business leaders.
Currently we have no updates on the future of Convergence EMEA which used to be held in Barcelona in November. Microsoft Dynamics technical content will move over to Microsoft Ignite.
Pricing and registration details are here.
Partner Conference (July 10-14, 2016, Toronto, Canada)
For the Dynamics community, Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference is the key event for partners. It is huge, bringing together over 15,000 attendees from around the globe for a week of networking and learning—all with the goal of increasing partner profitability and accelerating business growth.
If you’re interested in growing your business and strengthening your Microsoft partnership, then WPC is a can’t-miss event, focusing on how to deliver Microsoft solutions to mutual customers.
This year, WPC is in Toronto – one of the world’s great cities, so an opportunity not to be missed. Registration is here.
Ignite (Sept 26-30, 2016, Atlanta, USA)
For those looking for deep technical content, Microsoft Ignite provides detailed dives into best practices, hands-on experience to enhance tech skills, and enables learning from hundreds of experts and peers.
If you knew the Microsoft Exchange, Lync, Project, SharePoint, MMS, or TechEd conferences, Ignite goes further, enabling senior decision makers to learn insights on key technology trends in the industry, IT professionals to get hands-on experience to enhance their tech skills, and enterprise developers and architects to find innovative ways to maximize application development. You can register here.
Dynamics User Group Summit
If you want to connect with other users of Dynamics products, the Dynamics User Group Summit has separate streams to specialise in CRM, AX, NAV and GP, and are dedicated to helping users maximize their Microsoft Dynamics installation whether they are on a current version or previous versions. These are regular events and are scheduled this year for Oct 10-14, in Tampa, Florida, USA but we’ve been able to find any reliable links to the Summit web site – hopefully this will be back in action by the time you read this.
Other regular events
Of course technology development is always updating, so there is always a range of smaller, targeted events around the world. For those of interested in learning more about Windows, Office, Azure or any other IT, developer or business technologies, there are the Microsoft Cloud Roadshows running through to summer, plus access to download key information from previous events here.
Hope that helps you all – these are really useful, events whether you attend in person, or just log in.
